Thirty minutes on one given prompt. It is unscored, and a copy goes to every school receiving the results.
The ISEE closes with a 30-minute essay on a given prompt. It is unscored, but a copy goes to every school receiving the student’s results — an unscored section with a very real audience.
Practicing it well
Each RichiePrep test provides an original prompt, an autosaving editor with a 30-minute clock, and a structured self-review guide afterward: did the essay answer the exact prompt, develop one specific example, and close with an earned insight? Writing ten of these under time is how the essay on test day stops being scary.
RichiePrep is independent test preparation and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the organizations that administer the SSAT® or ISEE®. Format and policy details can change — confirm current specifications with the test maker.
