Every question on RichiePrep is held to the same quality contract:
- Original items, with sources named. Every question, answer choice and explanation is written for our publications, and we reproduce no question from any administered or secure test. Where a reading passage quotes an existing work, the excerpt is from a verified public-domain source and is credited as such — original authoring and credited excerpting are recorded separately in each item’s rights field.
- One defensible best answer per multiple-choice item, with distractors built on real errors — scope, logic, vocabulary, or calculation — not tricks.
- Synchronized stem, choices, key, and explanation. Two checks, and they are not the same. The importer validates structure automatically — schema, required fields, a key that names a real choice, counts and timing against the blueprint — and refuses the package otherwise. Whether the explanation is true, whether one answer is the only defensible one, and whether the passage evidence holds are judgments a person makes: an editor who did not write the item signs it off, and their approval is what publishes it. A schema check cannot read a sentence, which is why the errata page exists and why a correction ships as a new version.
- Explanations that teach. A written explanation and a note on every wrong choice, on every question; the efficient route and the likely trap on most. Math shows its working; reading cites its evidence by line and names the concept to review.
- Versioned content. Tests are immutable once published; corrections create a new version with a logged reason, and your past attempts always display the version you actually took.
- Blueprint-checked structure. Every test’s sections, counts, and timing are validated against its exam blueprint before publication — and we publish exact counts on the site.
When we fall short, the errata page is where we say so, publicly, against the exact content version.
