Terms of Use
1. The service
RichiePrep (www.richieprep.com), operated by Richie’s Educational Research Institute, provides self-directed online practice tests for the SSAT and ISEE Upper Level, with timed test-taking, automatic scoring of multiple-choice responses, results, and explanations. RichiePrep is independent test preparation: it is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or approved by the organizations that administer the SSAT® or ISEE®, and RichiePrep practice results are not exam scores.
2. Accounts
Accounts are created and owned by a parent or legal guardian. Students use profiles inside the guardian’s account and do not hold their own credentials. A student profile carries a display name — a nickname is fine — and a grade level; we ask for no legal name. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity in your account.
3. Purchases and access
Paid products are one-time purchases granting the named account access to the listed test forms for the stated access period — 365 days from purchase for every paid product. Nothing renews: there is no auto-renewal and no trial period that converts to a charge. Access is personal to your household and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed. Prices, inclusions, and access periods are shown before you order. Paid checkout opens only after our commerce review is complete; waitlist registration creates no payment obligation. Upgrades between products are charged at the current price of the larger product minus the amount paid for the smaller one; the upgraded product receives its own 365-day access period. An upgrade is available from a single test to that exam’s library and from a library to the SSAT + ISEE Combo, while the smaller product’s access period is still running.
4. Acceptable use
You may not copy, scrape, publish, or redistribute test questions, passages, or explanations; circumvent access controls; or use the service to build a competing item bank. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. Intellectual property
All practice content is original to RichiePrep and is protected by copyright; none of it is licensed from a third party. Credited literary excerpts in reading passages are drawn from verified public-domain sources. Every question is checked in-house before it is published, carries a content version, and is corrected publicly on the errata page.
6. Disclaimers
Practice results are provided for study planning only. They are not exam scores, do not use the test makers’ scaled-score, percentile, or stanine calculations, and do not predict admission outcomes. The service is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Cookies and tracking
RichiePrep sets three strictly necessary cookies and no advertising or analytics trackers. The Cookies policy lists each one and what it does.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Within 14 days of purchase we refund every test you have not started. A started test is not refundable: a test counts as started the moment it opens, even if it is not finished, and we tell you this before each paid test begins. After 14 days, purchases are final, unless the fault is ours or the law where you live gives you more. The Refund Policy sets out how the amount is worked out, how to ask, and the rights that apply in the Republic of Korea. Nothing in these terms limits the consumer rights of your country of residence.
9. The help assistant
The help assistant on our website is a computer program, not a person: it finds the help articles that match your question. It gives general information about RichiePrep from our help articles, and it can make mistakes. It cannot change your account or an order, grant a refund, or make a promise on our behalf, and nothing it says changes these Terms. If anything it says differs from these Terms, the Refund Policy or the Pricing page, the published document decides. If it got something wrong, tell us through the Contact page and a person will put it right. It will not predict or promise any score, and it will not answer practice test questions — the explanations in your results do that. How chats are handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
