Accessibility Statement
RichiePrep targets WCAG 2.2 AA across the public site, test player, and reports: full keyboard operation with visible focus, screen-reader labels on player controls and figures, no color-only state indicators, 200% text resize and reflow at 320 CSS pixels (a 1280px viewport at 400% zoom) without two-dimensional scrolling, and reduced-motion support.
Math is rendered with MathML alongside visual output. Figure descriptions are being expanded — if you find a figure or control that does not work with your assistive technology, tell us and we will fix it and give you a workaround in the meantime.
How we test
- Scripted checks run against a production build before each release — not yet in continuous integration: no horizontal overflow across the public pages at 360, 390, 412, 768, 834 and 1024px, and at 320 CSS pixels for the reflow criterion; heading order; every data table captioned; every icon control named; and text contrast measured against the color actually rendered behind it, including over gradients.
- Keyboard-only walkthroughs of the sign-up, half-length test, full test, review and account flows, with visible focus throughout.
- Contrast measured against WCAG AA (4.5:1 body text, 3:1 large text and UI) on every color pair the design tokens allow.
- Timer announcements are limited to the five-minute and one-minute marks — never every second — and hiding the timer never changes the time limit.
Known limitations
- This statement describes a target, not a certified conformance claim; no external audit or VPAT has been completed yet.
- Extended-time accommodations (1.5×, 2×, untimed) are not yet available in the player; they are planned for shortly after launch.
- Some figure descriptions are still being expanded from short alternative text to full long descriptions.
- Screen-reader testing so far is manual and covers the main flows; a full NVDA and VoiceOver pass across every page is scheduled before paid launch.
